3) Print and install my "Z Bend Z Sensor" located here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1517363 This means that the printer calibrates itself as far as Z height is concerned, before every print. I seriously can't imagine printing without one now. Wow thats impressive work. :ugeek: Don't ...

Remember to keep the end stop wires in their tower by themselves and it does not hurt to make them up as twisted pairs.

I wonder  if there would be market for a cable control kit of the stuff needed to do a nice job... I bet some folks would pay a premium if it was sold as an add on when they bought the printer kit. of course someone would have write the making your cable harness manual....

OnShape is great if you can't afford the expensive per seat costs of the old standards.
but like any of them you have to invest the the time in learning it

i love being able to tweak stuff in the iOS version as well as reworking stuff on the old 2009 vintage macbook pro i use for the printer.

I used the cork isolators from trick laser and with my somewhat impaired high frequency hearing they do the trick for me... don't squish them too much though reduce their thickness by about 1/3 when you tighten the mounts for best effect.

If you're working with PLA, just get a circle of glass cut at a local shop that's the same (or close) thickness as the original glass. That'll allow you to continue to work out the issues you've got. g. As Gene mentions, it will allow you to continue to work but the heat will crack them eventually....
