Re: Printing in the air

Yes it's true that the z=0 position was set to 240mm for some reason. Still confused how this could happen just by using a usb hub.

I re-zeroed it and it's working fine. I'll test the hub again later...

Printing in the air

So this has happened to me on 2 separate Rostocks this week. I press print and it drops to about halfway down the arms and begins printing in the air. I've just plugged this machine into a USB hub, I don't suppose that could be the issue? MC seems to be printing on the Taz through the hub without is...

With the compile error, double check you've got the right board and com port selected in Arduino.

It's part of the reason I chose to sell the Rostock, I had done experiments on various machines and the deltas performed best while upside down.

Re: Welcome to Australia

So you're reconstructing the cockpit from drawings - are you able to go and find an existing one and sit in it for a few hours to get all the bits and pieces? Once you've done with the model are you building it or is he doing that? Your f-15 project always fascinated me, a spitfire is awesome too. W...

Re: Welcome to Australia

My Spitfire-crazy friend lives there. He's the one that's derailed my F-15 progress by burying me in Bf-109 engineering drawings. :) g. So you're switching your project from your f-15? Are you building the other plane now? What's this crazy Aussie done to you? Do I need to go over there and talk so...

@ Nite; Yeah I bet Alabama gets bloody humid. I lived in Colorado when I was over there and the dryness was lovely - even hot days couldn't hold the heat... Ah Colorado.. Your beer was the best..

Re: The cheapest (usable) filament option for Australia?

The local uni here on the coast (USC) has just bought themselves a Filabot recycler and I'll be giving them my ruined ABS prints. If you could convince your local uni to do the same, then tee up some printers to keep the scraps you'd have yourself a nice setup :) Speaking on economy filament, my own...

Waves of emotion mate! I was saddened and shocked when you said you were leaving. You really are one of the reasons I joined the forum and fell in love with the community and then ultimately decided to offer the Rostock as our first machine to sell in Australia. Yes really. Very glad you changed you...

Re: Tri Hotend

I've been printing the bits and pieces over the past few days in preparation to swap my stock nozzle to the Tri. I have a couple of questions: - Which extruder mounts are you people using? I see tricklaser has a nice one, though shipping to Australia is a bit pricey and I don't even want to wait tha...
