If you had to remove the ribbon cables to reach connections for the upgrade, make sure that they're back on properly. Cable A and B can be switched with each other, the connectors could be upside down, or you could even have the connector offset by a pin from left to right.

Agreed. These aren't ethernet devices that need security patches or OS updates, it's a machine more than a computer. Check the release notes on GitHub, and don't worry about an update unless you are trying to solve a problem that one of the updates addressed.

There's a pre-made wiring harness that will make your life easier. You'll still have to do some splicing (because the V3 electronics are up top now) but it's much cleaner to not have to worry about that part. Otherwise, your list seems pretty straight forward and complete.

This may be a silly idea, but... How crazy does it sound to try applying the sheet while it's completely submerged? You could find a cake pan or something like that and easily mix water and a drop of dish soap to make a chamber to do the application in... I might have to try this on my next one.

Unfortunately SeeMeCNC modifies the basic rambo board so that the one MatterHackers sent me isn't compatible. As the others have said, the Rambo board isn't modified. A loose connection will cause arcing, and that will heat up and melt a connector like this as well. Anytime you're in there, it's worth making sure that those things are snug.

This doesn't work like the way it does on a Cartesian machine... There isn't 1 stepper motor per axis, so adjusting the motor we call X to change the X axis, etc won't work.
