Cupboards must be bigger in your neck of the woodsteoman wrote:Try moving the printer temporarily in to a cupboard.
By thermal stress i mean onse side of the print cooling faster than the other which causes stress on the part and the layers let go forming a crack.

Well, i have to say im not real pleased with bobcads if you buy it tomorrow after your demo or this offer go's away sales pitch. They have really rubbed me the wrong way especially since they recommend cancelling my demo if i wasnt ready to purchase to free up thier instructor's time. Anyone ever l...

Ive been looking into cam software myself and just downloaded the bobcad-cam demo. Having some trouble figuring things out with it. Sales Rep already called/emailed (that was quick) Im going to watch a live demo tomorrow. They have a 50% offf sale this week....Ugg wheres that tax return???

no dampners here....there is a difference when printing in pla vs abs. the banding seems much more pronounced when printed in pla....

ok here is a 25mm cube printed at 100 microns and 20mm/sec. The banding seem to be about 1.5mm, but with 3 distinct lines in each band. The spacing is too consistant for it to be resonance or vibration. I was measuring them on my prints and they are very close to being a perfect 1mm spacing at lower speeds. Im thinking the reason it is less noticeable at higher speeds is that there is some lash in the machine that covers it up. Real...

Yes, the SD card holds the configuration and firmware files as well. There's not an EEPROM to access though, or at least it doesn't work with the hosts I've tried so far. Bit confused....so you can have your G-code on the same card? And view files thru a lcd as well? Guess i should do some surfing ...
