H-1 Bowden feasability
I think I need a Bowden setup, My linear bearings make the extruder gears low enough to hit my belt and start eating it. I was thinking of mounting the extruder where the z-axis motor would be ( on the other side) and use this http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:29141 for the hotend

Linear bearing help
I have a snow day today so I figured I'd upgrade my y-axis to linear bearings. The thing is, When I printed all my bearings before , My printer was terrible so each bearing had no wiggle room at all. But now that it prints well my bearings seem slightly too big. I know it is calibrated correctly. LM...

Re: Hot end jams
I have a fan on my peek, when I push it though by hand it feels like it hit something hard, not really a jam . I have also tried pushing it through just the nozzle with no luck, as for the torch, I heated it up then test with a thermo couple and when it got to 220c I tried pushing it through, I am c...

Re: Hot end jams
It may be deformed , I never heated it that much but that's all I can think of as the problem. I print in PLA and can't even use my hand to extrude filament through the nozzle. But when I look through the nozzle it Is round.

Re: Hot end jams
I Have an H-1 so no Bowden and the ptfe is fine, could the nozzle possibly shrink after so much heat with the torch?

Hot end jams
For what ever reason, my hot end is now jamming up frequently, no change in temp, it actually gets up to that temp, repeatedly torched the nozzle. I have been a week without jams until today. Any ideas? It doesn't even extrude the correct amount of filament when it is first is re done.

Thanks John I appreciate it, Luckily the hotglue stuck and I am printing now :) First thing I did was print out extra parts in case it happens again. Skipping steps
Some times my y-axis skips steps, I use EMC2 with the 4-axis board, H-1 . It doesn't happen constantly , and only at higher speeds so far (6000mm/ min) But I feel I should be able to go faster and not have them skip steps. It only does it on prints sometimes and only enough to start printing the obj...

Using EMC2 which is the same as mach , it runs the extruder, just not enough. Its set to 5d-absolute e aswell.

Can I see a config for an H-1 ? I finally got it to work but it barley does any extruding, I see it is extruding but not nearly enough.
