Ok so after a short break, (new car, new job, ect, ect) i'm back playing with my rostock. Unfortunately, my glass broke (so i tried my first print anyway) hehe. I have some 1/8" aluminum in my basement i will be using for a new build plate (probably this weekend.) As for now here are some pic's...

8020 sells its overstock on ebay so you should be able to get it there. Also MSC http://www.mscdirect.com/ sells 8020, that's where i bought mine through so i could put it on my companies tool bill.

Don't use the permanent thread compound. Ie, if you are using Loctite use the "Blue" and do not use the "Red." The only way to get the red to break loose later is to either super heat it or drill out the screws.

I used a lighted led switch from radio shack for mine. it was like $4 and i had to open up the hole for the switch. The little switch it comes with just looked funny.

I had a similar problem. I checked all my wiring and the board and everything checked out, but the resistors checked out at 50k ohms. So im now waiting on new resistors to try again.

Just checked all my connections on the hot end, they all checked out. the only thing that didn't is the resistors they are maxing out my old school analog multimeter. Time to contact seemecnc

its the resistors in the hot end. all my connections checked out. I should have checked them before i installed them. But that's what i get for taking shortcuts.

Thanks im reading alot more that 3.5 ohms so i must have a bad connection somewhere. Now i remember why i got out of electronics and went back to tool and die. grrr

Yea but i left my "HOLY" boots at home one day and these were the cheapest ones i could find and not be late to work. Unfortunatly, when i got home my wife saw the new boots and well "sent the old ones to a new home"

Hotend not heating up.
Im building a new printer from seemecnc and i just got to the part in the instruction where i test the hot end. i am useing repeater and the hot end is from seemecnc. When i click "heat extruder" in repeater lights light up on the board but the hotend stays at room temp.

I dont know i never cut it. its the exact size seemecnc gave me. it appears tobe the correct size.
