24v steppers

Post by jbinion »

I have a bunch of these 24v steppers Mitsumi M49sp-2k from printers thyat I have torn apart. Are they useful or will the high volts make them basically useless for cnc/printers?
Thanks

I think they should work as long as they get enough power

Well. . . they are ok, they are 7.5 degrees per step. That will make precision and quality prints less possible. The biggest problem I think you will have is mounting them to the H-1.

Thanks, I think I'll save them for something else. We were looking into using 123d Catch so it might work ok for a turntable.
