Bondtech Extruder Occasional Clicking

Post by Northspire »

ok I have finally got the printer up and running. The only lingering problem i Just can't seem to get ironed out is the extruder clicking every now and then. I included a copy of my config file. I have a Bondtech QR extruder. I have tried adjusting the steps but it didn't seem to do anything. Any Ideas?

TIA
Ricky

I don't know the Bondtech extruder, but some extruders with metal gears tend to clunk when the extruder direction is reversed towards the end of a move due to pressure advance. Maybe it's caused by backlash in the gears. You could comment out the M572 command near the end of your config.g file to see whether this is what's happening.
