What do you print on your Boss??

Post by alexzogh »

Couldn't have a forum with no posts!

I've been building larger and larger Rockets, so the BOSS Delta seemed like the next logical step in my craziness

This is a 1/20th scale Saturn V rocket. outer shell is 100% 3d printed. I will laminate it to a carbon fiber airframe approx 18" in diameter. That is an 8 foot ladder in the photo for scale - rocket will be about 19 feet tall when put together. Should hit about 20,000 ft with the right motor, assuming it doesn't fall apart on the way up :>

Wow! Really nice looking model. Did you snap a photo while printing one of the parts?

Space is the place... :D

Notice the size of the filament spools... the one on the machine is 5kg, and the one next to the top of the model is 10kg. I'm still trying to figure out an efficient way to use such large spools which doesn't put too much stress on the EZR Struder.
