You build a machine shop filled with 250,000 dollars worth of equipment, you then
spend several hundred hours designing the parts, you mill the parts and after spending
another $50,000 on needed materials and other parts you can have a PARTDADDY Delta.
I forgot the costs for the wages for the people you employ.

Which is why I should have offerred for him to set up my machine shop, so *I* could send the parts to *him*. Oops :D

I was hoping for a GIANT DIY kit.
It seems with the 'PartDaddy' the pieces have already been made and should be replecable.

So maybe it would be expensive? Want to help me build it?

I like the idea of a kit, I can't help but wonder what they would charge for such a kit.

The sumpod prints 600x600x600 and is pre assembled for only 3000 euros. I'd be able to manage with one of those.

But, and for the sake of an awesome side project, wouldn't it be cool to have built a 12 foot tall printer for under 10,000 euros?

The sumpod mega xl can print 6 foot tall (1800x1000x1400mm and costs 10,000 euros) figures, but I was looking for 7 feet by five. That way I could print full scale 3d scanned models of just about anybody. Seamlessly too.

And I would probably be pretty well off doing it, considering right now my sole income is collecting social security.

So, who wants to help?
