Power supply failure

Post by vrhappy »

Just built the V2 unit and was calibrating the axis (not so fun) and had it for the night. Turned everything off then pushed the extruder up. Saw the display glow blue which was odd. Next day wouldn't come on- dead power supply. Bought a new one and put it in. By the way, it would be great if the supply wasn't built into the unit. Now- have to re true the towers and re calibrate. Bad enclosure design guys. Please don't bury parts that can and do go bad. I suspect the motors generated some juice and knocked out the supply. Maybe the Rambo isn't fully protected.

Hope nothing else croaks at least before getting it to do some work. When I built a B9 Creator, had a bad X axis motor- dead spot on the armature, tough to track down, blew up the Arduino when hooking up scope leads hot. Things happen. Then fix em.

There is a big hole in the bottom of V2s to drop the power supply through.
