Link for USB keystone adapter

Post by jram »

Looking for a link to a USB keystone adapter. I remember reading a build thread on here a few months or more, the build included a pass thru for the USB. The build thread included a link to Amazon for this but I can't seem to track this down with the "search" option. Any help is appreciated as well as any recommendations for other adapters that others have found work well with the Max v2.

Like this?

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_ ... b+keystone" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Another option is the Neutrik and Switchcraft style jacks.

Great! Thank you, the second link looks like the one that someone mentioned in a build thread.

I've got one in a build that I didn't let out of the bag yet.

Well, the ethernet version of the same thing, anyway.
In hindsight, I wish I used one for the USB as well. Just blow 3 or 4 identical holes in the plate, and populate whatever you decide is best later.

The other advantage to the Neutrik / Switchcraft style, is that you can drill a hole for it. You don't need a square cutout.

USB type B is what you'really seeking. Then some variation on socket, plug, or female connector.

Those are lasercut panels, just like a Rostock. A little bit of caliper work, and a little bit of CAD work, plus some manual fudge tolerances... I'm just happy that it fit the first time :)
