PID values for HotEnd

Post by gajtguy »

Hi Folks. I put my new power supply in (still just 12v at this point for everything). I was in the Assy Guide that came with the printer and decided to do the PID calibrations again for the HotEnd and Heated Bed.

The Hotend values were way above the values in the manual... Plus the 'output extruder' graph at the bottom is showing FULL power being used a bunch, compared to the manual.

Does this concern any of the pro's in here? Thanks

As long as you're holding a steady temperature at your target temp you are good to go.

I don't remember what the graphic in the manual shows, but full power during ramp-up would be normal. You might log the values and do some more tuning to try to kill that 10C overshoot, but it's not horrible the way it is.
