Retraction: high pitched motor

Post by adarcher »

When searching for noisy extruders, I mostly found skipping complaints. I'm not skipping or grinding.

I'm testing out an alternate location for my extruder on my Artemis and haven't committed to removing the old motor yet, so I've got this older 1.8 step I salvaged from a very old i3--I have no idea what the specs are, no labels, other than it's 1.8.

I'd like to make my retractions quieter. Anyone have tips?
