Not all glue sticks are the same.

My favorite glue stick, for years, has been FantaStick washable but my country has limited availability of it now so I have tried others.
Recent trial was Dolphin Stick washable.
The Dolphin Stick creates a pitted first layer. FantaStick doesn't.
The part printed using Dolphin. It has a dull finish that doesn't reflect light well.
The part printed using FantaStick. It has a smooth finish that reflects light well.
The other layers above layer 1 are the same between the parts leading me to conclude that the problem is with the glue.
