First few Prints

Post by midget214 »

Finally got my printer calibrated (sort of). Here are my first few calibration block prints
(The one outlined is the final block I printed this weekend)

And here is my first object (Portal companion Cube). The details on the top did not print as well as I wanted, but its a good start.

Looking good! I tried to print the companion cube as my first print 8 months ago, it didn't go as well as yours :-).
You may need a fan pointed at the print object to help with the top/small print areas and maybe slowing down the print.

Yeah, thats my next step. To slow down the print speed though, I guess this is done in slicer? From what I can see there are quite a few settings that I can play with.

Yeah, you can do this in Slic3r, I enable cooling and in there is an option to slow down prints if layer print times are less then X seconds. I think this will work even if you don't have a fan connected.
