Hello,
I just finished upgrading my Rostock max heated bed and I am having an issue.
I bought a 120VAC 550W mat with builtin thermistor along with a MIC-6 plate from sandsmachine. From there, I attached the mat to the aluminum and mounted it to the printer. I also bought an SSR and did all the electrical work to get it running. However, here's the issue at hand. The thermistor inside the heated mat heats up to 90 degrees in about 20 seconds, but the aluminum doesn't get to 90degrees until about 9minutes later.
Since the purpose of the thermistor is to give the temperature of the top of the plate, what are my options as to fix this? I've heard of people doing similar things but I have not found any information regarding this.
Thanks,
Addison

You could try moving the thermistor to contact the aluminium.
Or if it has its own controller switch it on 10 minutes before you want to print.

When on mobile I am brief and may be perceived as an arsl.

drill a hole in the aluminum and mount the thermistor in the plate with some orange RTV and kapton tape.

I agree, mount your own thermistor and use that instead.
