H-1.1 STL Files?

Hey guys,

It's getting to that point where I need to start printing some replacement parts for my H-1.0 -- and I was thinking that while I was at it, I might try printing some of the H-1.1 upgrade parts.

Problem is, I can't seem to find the STLs for any of the H-1.1 parts -- does anyone know where to find them? Most of the old links appear to be dead.

I also started a collection of H-1 stuff I've found on Thingiverse, here: https://www.thingiverse.com/BrainSlugs8 ... -h-1-parts

Thanks,
--Mikey

I own an H1.1. The assembly instructions were 3 pages of exploded frame diagrams that I had to print myself and a lot of referring to the H1 manual. An actual H1.1 manual was never released. Most of the H1 stuff ended up here: http://reprap.org/wiki/Seemecnc_h1. The H1.1 STL's were available at one time, but I've no idea where they're hiding online. SeeMeCNC presumably has archive copies...you could ask.

The most significant H1.1 upgrades were to the carriage and shaft assemblies. You can buy the bearings, but those STL's wouldn't help much even if you found them, since they were built around machined aluminum tubes with pressed brass bushings that SeeMeCNC manufactured themselves. You can ask SeeMe, but I bet those are unobtainium now, unless you can find someones used parts. Here's a video of H1.1 assembly, so you can see the differences yourself: https://vimeo.com/47461857. He also did a parts video...the bushings are seen clearly at the 3:04 mark: https://vimeo.com/47453358

Many of the plastic parts for the H1.1 didn't change, except that they were injection molded in multiple colors for the H1-1. The bar clamps with nuts and bolts were changed to bar clamps with screws, but they were the same bar clamps. You just left the holes unreamed on one side so the screws would bite.

Yeah, the modified carriage assemblies are specifically what I'm looking for; they look much easier to print than the H1.0 parts -- most of the H1.0 parts are pretty ridiculous to print, and require a lot of modifications and clean-ups. The parts of the H-1.1 that changed looked a lot simpler and easier to print.

There was a version of the bearings that was PLA printable (like the original Prusa), and I could just buy roller bearings anyway...

As far as asking goes -- that's kind of what I'm doing?

99% of the time you're talking to the peanut gallery in the forums, most of which don't know anything about the H1. If you actually want a response from a SeeMeCNC representative, the forum has poor odds of accomplishing that, although it does happen occasionally. Try: https://www.seemecnc.com/pages/contact-us.
