High electric bill.
Re: I may have a problem...
I don't see the problem. In your case, they represent the manufacturing capability of your business. And part of that electric bill is a deductible business expense.

Re: I may have a problem...
That is an excellent point that I did not think of, a business expense. Thanks for pointing that out.Eric wrote:I don't see the problem. In your case, they represent the manufacturing capability of your business. And part of that electric bill is a deductible business expense.
I'm sure that anyone using the printer as part of a business would deduct that, I do not run such a business.

I run all my 3D expenses through my business even though I have made no money from it. It is for R&D I tell the tax man ![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif)

Re: I may have a problem...
At what point is it time to start looking at a small injection rig?
Re: I may have a problem...
I've actually built a small injection machine but it is barely capable to do anything I need. A larger machine would be $10K+ and take up a lot of room. Also, a big part of the interest in my fly fishing reels is the fact that they are 3D printed. An injection molded plastic fishing reel would be looked down upon but a 3D printed one is unique!

I see no problem at all. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)
3D printing, FDM particularly, is starting to really find its place in the manufacturing chain. I've been overwhelmed with more work than I can handle. Injection molding is cool, but FDM is really nice from an operator standpoint.![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

Yes, i agree. its really the future, and its just the beginning of home manufacturing. I seem to have the trouble of not being able to find business. I can make and design but people around here just don't seem to get it. Until they see the machine working that is, but geting tired of showing people my house. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

If you would stop leaving Barry White CDs and scented candles around at night, you wouldn't have this problem.
