My idea would be a mixing nozzle like this:

Basically, the pressure of the material being pushed through the device is what turns the mixing screw. Scaled down, it could possible work?

Yes, I have worked with those mixing nozzles before. It needs quite a bit of pressure, and that would have to come from the extruder. That will have to be a super-extruder...

Ah, that''s what I thought! Too bad. I had never even seen one in real life before. Check out Arcus3d if you havent already. He uses a CMYK type system and a brushless motor powered mixing impeller. Pretty impressive.
