Wireless Printing
Wireless Printing
Does anyone know if a wireless USB print server would work with Arduino boards? My desk is pretty crowded with a paper printer and two 3dprinters. It would be nice to put them on a workbench across the room without stringing USB cable across the floor. I think there is a pretty short limit on USB cable transmission, too.

Re: Wireless Printing
I think I remember seeing a thread of someone connecting a Raspberry Pi to the Max and using it to connect wirelessly to his PC...

Re: Wireless Printing
I have a laptop on a shelf tied into two 3D printers by USB. One printer is via a 30 foot USB booster cable that runs up, along the shelf, over a door, then over to the printer.
The laptop connect to our network with WiFi and I use UltraVNC to talk to it.

Re: Wireless Printing
I use Google cloud print to print from my phone/work computer to my home printer and google drive. You can run it from Windows, Mac, or Linux. Even a Raspberry Pi can run chromium and act as a cloud print server.
Might be worth a try.

Would something like this work? I have an ElectricIMP laying around I haven't found a use for yet.
