I was quite surprised to find that I have very few photographs of my printers, I seem to have taken many more of the various parts and have cad renerings of just about everything I have tried.
First photo is my second Prusa Mendel type named Caliban. Caliban has just been completely rebuilt and is mounted on an aluminium box with the power supply and Ramps controller. in order to be portable.
Second photo is of Miranda, an early implementation of Johann's original Rostock using acrylic instead of plywood. This seems to be the only still of Miranda but there is a video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tM17pXZQls I would have taken some new photos but she is in a state of undress as she is having a complete rebuild.
Ariel is the bane of my life. Although intended to be a longer term project this time now seems to encompass the heat death of the universe. Ariel has from five to seven extruders or other tools, the active tool being moved along an axis parallel to the X axis (X' or X prime) to the printing position - the unused tools being raised slightly so as to not racke across the print in progress. Photos show the frame and X/Y mechanism, The XY motion can be seen in operation at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XfjI_UXrnJ8 Next is a CAD rendering showing two extruder/hot ends and three bowden extruders - the last photo shows 5 extruders including the two close-coupled units.

Very cool. I look forward to seeing Ariel in action, assuming the universe lasts that long.
