in the video is a printed one from a Kossel mini, with a 5:1 kysan geared stepper. Will be replaced with a custom machine aluminum one of similar design.
the plastic printed one does not reliably push the filament.
in the meantime I adapted a Seeme ezStruder to the geared stepper.

the Kossel extruder came from the .stl's on github

It would be really sharp if this had mounting holes on it for folks that want to add an enclosure for the print area in the future.

Let me start by saying your design is beautiful. Well done. I like the open air design, congratulations on engineering uprights rigid enough to not have support up there. I cannot for the life of me however, understand why you would machine such a thing of beauty and choose to power it with an ATX power supply. These supplies (under the $125 mark) are made to be cheap and disposable. They are filled with cheap capacitors and most can't handle the load of the heaters for long. Please reconsider that choice, an industrial unit isn't much more expensive and will save users plenty in hair plugs later on.

The ps is the 450 watt Silverstone small form factor, I chose it for it's small size and good reviews. Also it has 37 amp +12v output, which is considerably more than most, including the ones SeeMeCNC uses.
However I am interested in finding a better "industrial" power supply if the computer psu's are really that poor of quality.
Do you have a particular supply to recommend and/or sources to look?

I like the Meean Wells, although I haven't had much experience outside of them. They start near mid page here: http://www.jameco.com/1/3/12v-power-supply

Incoming power issues aside, the main killer of ATX power supplies are the cross top capacitors. I used to have a fairly nice pile of them, wife made me throw them away before I could snatch all the copper/aluminium. The juice is the main culprit it expands with the heat creating by the manufacturer not filling it with the right materials eventually blowing the top open (that's why the cross is in the top so it splits open and doesn't go pop). Not to mention cheap fans that fail and fail to let you know they've failed. The better quality stuff has protection for heat.

You can get a really solid ATX supply to do the job for around the same price as the industrial stuff, but why? The industrial units have a ground and 12v output(s). No hacking apart harnesses, or jumpering signal wires needed. You can also buy them caseless for mounting in a smaller area...like the inside of a breathtaking new printer.

It's like the hot end resistors in my opinion, it works but was never meant to do what we're asking of it. They were used in early printers becuase they were on the guys desk I'd imagine. Thanks for listening!

yes, it is open source. I plan on posting files eventually once I get them organized and cleaned up. Right now drawings are disorganized and don't match the final design... it was tweaked as I machined the parts and created cnc machining code.
Design has been simplified from this 1st version.

I have personally seen prints off of this machine and they are mind boggling. This thing runs so smooth that .2mm prints look like .1mm. It's also virtually without sound!

Here are a few progress pics of the V2 NEMESIS Air Delta 3D Printer production release version.

Made a few changes and refinements from v1...
-Simplified frame sides machined from 1/2" thick aluminum.
-Table made of precision ground Mic-6 aluminum tooling plate.
-Dual power supplies 12 volt & 24 volt
-Moved idler pulley inside extrusion
-Changed to optical end stop switches with LED
-Larger LCD mounted at angle for easy viewing

You're such a trooper, Gene. Not many people have the luxury of time and money to spend almost $5k on a printer AND volunteer your time to write a manual Good thing you don't have any other expensive or time consuming projects

I can't even afford to pay attention these days. Time I got, money I ain't. I have to plan stuff like docs in advance otherwise stuff starts falling off the stack.
