I have a Max V2 with trick laser arms and carriages (and .9 degree steppers). I got a clogged nozzle yesterday, and when trying to pull the nozzle off I broke the thermistor (I suspect I should have heated it up first...)
Anyway, I've been wanting to get the bed leveling stuff working, so here is my chance.
I need the HE280 hot end - obviously.
It says I need molded plastic carriages, but do I really? I have the metal trick laser ones...
It says I need a new wiring whip - Do I really? I can crimp ends on wires pretty easy, but if it is a lot more than that I'll just buy the new whip.
And new firmware for the rambo, obviously.
Is that all I'll need? what else do I need?

Re: Max V2 upgrade to HE280
I don't see why the tricklaser skates would not be good. Are you still on Rambo? Then the H280 is the choice to make. In case you already have a duet, I would go for E3D + FSR or the Smart Effector with 713makers adapter.
I am DeltaCon, I have a delta, my name is Con, I am definitely PRO delta!

Here's the HE280 upgrade instructions https://seemecnc.dozuki.com/Guide/Rosto ... 49?lang=en, these may help you decide what you want to do regarding the whip. Personally, I'd buy the whip because it's a damn sight easier than dealing with getting the shrink tube over the 8 pin connector.
