Mattercontrol won't run on my Dell Vostro XP

I get ".net Framework 4.5 not supported"
and "not a valid win32 app"
Gets no further.

Can I install something that will make it work on XP? I don't have t hat PC on the internet, but can transfer stuff to it.
Or I can do it all on my Windows 10 PC and transfer via SD card (not preferred).

OK, I found this on Mattercontrol FAQ:
Does MatterControl Work on Windows XP?
No. MatterControl dropped support for Windows XP with version 1.2. You can still download Mattercontrol 1.1.3, which what the last version to work with XP.

Is 1.1.3 worth installing? Or should I try Repetier Host? I know Cura installs fine, but rather have something more Seemecnc supported.

Follow up. I installed MC 1.1.3 for XP and it works to a point. Seemed to start off OK, but got to writing Macro for Tower Cal, saved it, but when I click button nothing happens. Also my XYZ manual movement controls seem to have stopped. If I back out and back into MC again XYZ starts working, but macro still doesn't send. Guess I'll wait for the laptop I bought to update MC and try again.
