Warnings when compiling firmware

I downloaded Arduino IDE 1.6.11 (Linux 64-bit) which is the version number shown in the docs, but I got all kinds of compilation warnings.

I keep am old 1.0.5 version around for the Marlin 1.0.2 my other printer uses. I tried that and got a clean compile.

What IDE aversion should I use? Instructions say 1.6.0, pictures say 1.6.11, but only 1.0.5 compiles without dozens of warnings.

Follow the instructions and use version 1.6.0 and it'll work fine
