Hi everyone, just took delivery today of an Artemis and I have to say I'm super impressed with the build quality! SOLID. I'm coming from a Prusa Mk3 kit I built a few years ago so I'm not totally green to 3d printing, just new to the Artemis workflow. I'm making the switch from prusaslicer/octoprint to Cura/Duet so please bear with me.
I am sure I will have loads of questions on dual extruder workflows but for now, I'm just looking to avoid potential damage to the machine. I start it up and the nozzle is on the bed. Running the Probe Autolevel macro looks like it's mapping the bed but then it stops with the nozzle again touching the bed. If I hit 'HOME ALL' then the hotend moves up and stays up. Without power the nozzle comes moving down and makes contact with the glass bed.
Is that normal - what's the best workflow to avoid damage to the bed? When it starts a print job it's still touching the bed so it's heating up to filament temps while touching the glass. I assume power must be on to 'lock' the rails in place, but what do people do when it's just idling so the nozzle doesn't touch the glass? Or again, maybe that's OK on a delta I just don't know.

To answer my own question - I basically have been adjusting the settings here or there and am just in the habit of hitting the little home icon on the touchscreen whenever I do something like power on, etc.
I will say that it's much quieter than I thought it would be, the PSU fan seems to be the loudest thing on it and it only kicks in when needed. Very happy with results so far, and will continue to tune the prints as I go. Still doing single extrusion, need to read up more on dual extrusion settings as the minimum volume for the tower seems awfully high (defaults to 160).
On a side note I was able to take the recommended printer profile and add the 3d model of the Artemis base (just looks cool in the slicer) from the Cura-provided profile, so best of both worlds.

You might want to check for an M84 code in the end-gcode in Cura. It turns the motors off after a print is done and the effector could sag into your print.
Homing on startup is good practice.
