NEMA 17 Stepper Motor settings for arduino?
Re: NEMA 17 Stepper Motor settings for arduino?
Grunting?
Possible that only 1 of the coils is running. My motors were skipping like crazy and I foudn out that 1 of the wires on the board wasn't making contact, so the motors were only getting half powered. Make sure that you have eveything wired solid. You can check the resistance of each of the two pairs of wires. If they don't match, then one of them isn't connected properly.

Psh, why so delicate? Take a heat gun and just shake all the parts out
.
