Hello,
I have problem to get TB6560 to run. If I turn on power without parrallell cable connected, two red leds turn on. And no power to any motors. I then connect (power off) the parallell cable. When I power up 5 red leds turn on, and the motors have power. When I start Mach 3 the power to the motors turns off, and now I only have two red leds. In Mach 3 the emergency stop is set to port 0, so it is not supposed to stop anything. The power off for the TB 6560 is as soon as Mach 3 is loading. I have used the TB 6560 manual to set up Mach 3.
When I push one of the arrow the DRO moves, but the motors don't.
Best regards
Krister
TB6560 will not run
Re: TB6560 will not run
When Mach3 starts up, the machine is in a state of "Reset" and the motors aren't enabled. If the big red reset button is blinking, click it and if all else is ok, port and pin assignments, the motors should lock up.

Re: TB6560 will not run
Hello again,
When I push the red button on the screen, the alarm goes off. But the motors still have no power. If I disconnect the power to the TB6560, (and turn it back on) it is still the same. The A-axis (extruder) is working, if I jogg it. And the DRO in mach3 is moving, when I jogg, but the motors are not.
I have done the mods, for the optocouplers, and the diods, according to instructions.
Best regards
Krister

Hello again,
I have now found the problem. I had forgot to set up outputs for enable. I have used Mach 3 before, but never the elable signal.
You learn somthing new every day.
Now all 4 axis is moving, and the puls/per seems to be good.

Here is the pin-out for the Red tb6560, you will need to set this up in Mach3 under "Ports and Pins".
X axis 2, 3
Y axis 4, 5
Z axis 6, 7
If you want to use the spindle just let me know I will try to get you started, the relay shield on the Red tb6560 board works the same way one works for Arduino, you can even control a Dremel or router using it.
Also the Red 6560 has a safety feature or two, one being if the 6560 IC's get too warm the board cuts power, if you use an ATX power supply, the supply will also shut off protecting everything.
Cheers,
Rob
