Why do we need to remove and Jumper the Two Diodes ?

Post by cujul »

Hi,

Simple question: Why do we need to remove and Jumper the Two Diodes ?

Because my extruder motor isn't working and I haven't jumpered the diodes, I don't know if it's my problem or jumpering them is optionnal.

Also, on the easy stepper, there is round setting : The "CUR ADJ". Do I need to put it on LOW or HIGTH ?

Thanks everyone, Seemecnc community is awesome

I don't think its optional, If I remember correctly, I too didn't put in the jumper and it did not work until I had. The Cur adjust is for adjusting the current to the stepper motor, If you find it stalling, you can turn it up, But as things go , the more current , the more heat. I have ditched my easy stepper, as I have gone thru two of them but I think when it was working I had it on around 75% . But absolutely don't unplug your stepper motor to it while it has power, or it can cause the drive to fail

Thanks a lot, the motor is working now, but It stopped after 1 or 2 seconds and don't run at slow speeds, see my new topic:
