Repetier host-debug window-"OK" button?

Post by Batteau62 »

Long story short-Cut my teeth on a Printrbot jr.-bought two of them for a "keep one give one to a school" kickstarter last year. Finally cut through the red tape and local High school art dept. is getting it.(Wish it were an Orion :) Ah well...) I built it this week and was calibrating on a Macbook Pro. Which is what I run mine on. I run my Max on a Windows laptop. So I thought, I'll give that a try. After jumping through a zillion hoops to get the unsigned serial usb driver to install(WTF :!: Microsoft  ) I could get the host to connect but no manual control? Went to the internet-found a blurb on pushing the "OK" button in the debug window. Voila! it worked!

My question...Why? Why would pushing that button cause the connection to work? Just curious. :geek:

There is not alot of info on that but from what I could gather some versions of Host have a bug in them requiring that push of the OK button.
Are you running the latest version of Host?

The weird thing is my Max works/connects perfectly? When I change to the Printrbot profile, I have to push that "ok" every time. If I disconnect, then reconnect, it still has to be clicked to work? I'm thinking it may be on the Printrboard side?
