Did I blow my Rambo Board?

Post by CRPerryJr »

Came home today to a print that didn't stick. All the ABS wound up stuck to the hot end. I managed to get the majority off, and started to clean the hot end of all the tiny bits with some brass wool. Well, of course I had it powered up and hot to help clean it, when all of a sudden everything except the power supply shut down. The Rambo board isn't powering up, and my computer no longer sees the Rambo. The power supply fan in the printer is running, but that's it. I'm hopeful it's a fuse related to the hotend. Will verify and update this thread when I know. Otherwise, the purchase of a Rumba board is coming sooner than expected. :)

Thanks!

I just had a wire break loose from my hot-end and pop the fuse. The fuse was 5A and protected the motors, logic, and hot-end. The LCD panel did still light up.

Everything's normal after replacing the fuse. I did have to retension the fuse holder with an exacto knife, but that was easily done.

Tested all the fuses and found F3 blown. I'll replace it and report back on whether its working again or not.
