Tower not square on my Max V2
My tower legs tilt in a little bit and it does not allow me to square up the tower legs to the print bed. I contacted Rostock and they said I wasn't suppose to have the screw stops on the top and bottom of the legs. I'm sure the instructions told me to do so but oh well. I removed the top screw stops. While resembling the top plate back onto the supports I realized I have some adjustment if I don't insert the tower legs through the top plate. As long as the t-bolts are tight do you think this will cause a problem?
There is about a mm between the top of the tower legs and the bottom of the top plate.
I tried to attach a picture but its not allowing me to do so.

Pictures are the best way to show us what you're talking about.
It's best to embed pictures from a URL. For example, take the URL http://i.imgur.com/jA124Z9.jpg and click on the Img button in the editor and paste the URL between the brackets like so [img]http://i.imgur.com/jA124Z9.jpg[\img]
(***I flipped the slash in the example so that it would still show the text***)
Anyway, it'll look like this.

Hosting sites like Imgur will also give you this embed code and save you some mouse clicks.

Anybody? Its still out of square a little. So I guess I'm going to start sanding to gain some adjustability. Ridiculous that there is little to no adjustment built in. Also so far Rostock support has sucked. Your welcome for my $1000.

Page 91-93 in the Manual "Before you can install the upper tower mounts, three tower depth stop screws need to be
installed as shown below"
and
"These screws perform the same function as the ones previously installed in the lower tower
mounts. This helps guarantee that the top section will be at the correct height on all three towers."
Chances are tech support misunderstood.

Re: Tower not square on my Max V2
Thanks Kas. I will post the email tomorrow. They specifically told me not to use the top depth stop screws. I'm fiddling with it now. All the wires are out of the supports. Squared the supports and try to slide the top plate on....only the bare top plate. The holes are almost 1/4" off. I've relieved the bottom plate where the supports go through, only the inside edge (toward the center) and have made the holes for the t-bolts oblong. My thinking is this will allow me to move the bottom of the supports in toward the center. What they need to do is offer some sort of adjustment for the legs. The top would make the most sense to me. At some point I will make my own.

It's a shame you tore up the parts - now it's basically impossible to check to see what the root cause was. There's not a lot of room for adjustment because under normal circumstances, it's not needed.

Re: Tower not square on my Max V2
So the problem is the heat bed is slightly dome shaped. I was using a 8*6 high precision square by SPi thinking it would be super accurate. Ended up using a large framers square once I noticed the heat bed issue and now the supports are square. Nothing got tore up. Just time. More time than I'd like to admit. Now the table....I'm just gonna move forward and see if it is actually an issue.
Re: Tower not square on my Max V2
The issue could also be the tower lean from left to right, which is about impossible to verify without a digital angle finder.

I will be getting a digital level, IR temp gun and an RPM gun soon. I have a Mill and Lathe that I've converted to CNC. Those tools I mentioned have been on my list for a bit now.
