z height off and no extruder heat

Post by bplemmons »

I'm trying to calibrate my rostock but I'm stumped on 2 issues. The print head zeroes out 2 inches above the plate. the instructions say to change the z home pos. by increments of 10 but i must not be on the right setting because nothing I have tried will bring in down anymore than 2' too high.

The other problem is the extruder won't heat up. I checked the wires for continuity and I am plugged in to extruder 0 on the rambo and the bed heat works so I don't think it's the mosfet fuse....

HELP!!!!! (please) :(

I realized that the z home pos is in the calibration h settings so I got that part covered now, is there something else in the firmware I need to do to get the extruder to heat up?

Heated bed is connected to a completely separate 12V line and independently fused.
If the Light comes on when you turn on the hotend the fuse is fine if it doesn't check it with a meter.

if your fuse blew, you need to check for shorts also.
