clearing the eeprom and updating the firmware

Post by BazzMan »

Hi all.
In my previous post I wrote that my firmware had changed to 091S after
Trying to fix my printer when the whole thing went crazy trying to
Home the towers.
Can someone please tell me the best way to update firmware.
It seems I can't change to repetier 0.91 on an Orion delta seeme cnc
Printer. V1

It seems that since the fw has changed to 091S the hotend does
Not reach temperature of more than 180c. I use ABS filament at 230c
But now it's not possible.

If I run the PID autotune through matter control, it times
Out and only reaches 175 to 180c.

Can anyone help?
Thanks.

You can flash the eeprom using the built in eeprom sketch in arduino.

But you have to load the sketch to arduino, and then that code writes 0 to all memory of the eeprom.
You may have to modify the software, as the arduino mega's have 4k of memory, you should chanage the number to 4096.

Then you have to re-load the repetier firmware.

As for the PID tuning, try heating the hotend to 240 degs, and see if it reaches that or what temperature it reaches. If it again stops at 170 then you may have a hardware problem and it may be time to upgrade to a heater cartridge.
When on mobile I am brief and may be perceived as an arsl.
