I recently have run into an issue (or at least I think its an issue and not an instruction I'm giving it) where there is like too much space between each pass of the printer.
For example, I though the raft was suppose to be one fairly solid piece of plastic that the print will then be printed onto. When this issue is happening, the end result is more kind of a fairly loose crosshatch/woven pattern that I can easily pull apart into separate "threads" with my fingers.
Then the print itself ends up with a crosshatchy look. This is much different than all my other prints I've made using natural PLA or Natural ABS. (This is the first time I've tried a different color of ABS, in this case Silver from MatterHackers).
Is this a problem that is seen fairly often and a known resolution exists?
The included picture contains a piece of the raft and the actual object I was trying to print.
Bed Temp 85
Extruder 240
Layer hight .2mm
Nozzle is .3mm
Raft Air Gap is .15mm.
Those posted settings are they settings I've changed from what I think the "defaults" are.
Ugly Crosshatch and "woven" issues?
Re: Ugly Crosshatch and "woven" issues?
After trying a few more prints, I think the real problem is that the raft isn't very solid, causing movement during the print. Anyone have any ideas why the raft might be turning out like that?
