Fan runs but display doesnt light up

Post by hmanvel »

I replaced the resistors in the hot end of my Rostock Max V2, fired it up and had some melting wire smoke, shut it down, took everything apart and reassembled so the wires weren't touching the extruder. Now I power up and the display won't light. The fan runs but no display. I read about 3 fuses being in the system but cant find them! Any guidance would be appreciated!

the main fuses you're likely looking for are small and rectangular, and usually are in brown holders, along the left side of the board, near the power inputs. There is also a larger automotive fuse that is for the bed which is unlikely to be blown.

Thanks! Never expected something that small. One was blown.
