Dimensional anomaly
Dimensional anomaly
I'm printing the enclosure parts posted by jfettig. I started with the door latch, printed it once horizontal first then printed it again vertical. The horizontal piece is 2.5 mm short, it was oriented centered on the y axis in mattercontrol. My calibration was pretty close to start off. Is that a normal amount of inaccuracy or can I do anything to dial it in a bit?

Re: Dimensional anomaly
is it only off spec in one dimension? What sort of percentage of shrinkage is that?

Re: Dimensional anomaly
It's a 7 inch (177.8mm) peice, looks to be off both long directions by 1.25 mm or so, total of 2.5mm, so about a 1.5 percent short. I can't tell a difference in the rest of the piece, but the dimensions are much smaller. I am getting ready to print the rest of the enclosure and most of the prices are laying down, so want to make sure I get a good fit.
