Hello. I've found some nice heated beds on aluminium base - like that one http://ru.aliexpress.com/item/NEW-3D-pr ... 69061.html
And I have ordered and received one of similar ones (not hexagonal, round one), it's very nice.
But these are 265 mm diameter, while I want ~320 mm for my Max Metal, like ONYX. They say (check link) that they could make custom size if customer will order 20 "tablets" (i guess it's 20 pieces?), but I need only one or two. Maybe someone want to make order together?

Re: Aluminium RMAX-sized heated bed
I made my own heated bed from a 6# slab of aluminum from http://www.sandsmachine.com/alumweb.htm and slapped some 110VAC silicone heaters on it for my last build. I also integrated my own FSR mounts and glass clamps to hit the holes that were already in the aluminum...

It wasn't stupid expensive to do, but it doesn't work as well as I'd hoped. The main issue is that the heaters have a 120C thermostat in them. The pads heat up so quickly that they reach 120 and turn off before they've had a chance to transfer very much heat into the bed...
Working on the next design revision now.

Shenzen Ali Brother Technology will make a silicone heating pad to your size, voltage and power specifications, with or without thermistor. I suggest you get one a little smaller than the bed plate to leave room for fixings near the edge. They sell through aliexpress.
