V3 SD printing

Post by Twac1 »

so I have made 3 successful prints while connected by USB. I am using matter control and importing STL projects from sketchup. I did bring the calibration code to an SD in G code and ran it successfully unhooked. Can I do the same thing with a print, will it save printer settings? and I am pretty sure I need to export it to the SD in G code? just don't want to F something up. I would like to do it via SD so I can run a print at work without my computer?

Yes, export the G-code to the SD card and you are good to go

Yes, you can. The G code contains all the needed information for the printer, and is what the firmware actually listens to, so you won't need a tether at all if you save the G code to the SD card.
