Hello everyone, I searched the forums and didn't quite see anything that looked similar to my issue. Sorry if there is a thread already though. Anyways, I just finished assembling my V3 and went to calibrate it and all it wants to do is go to the bed and stay there and grind the belt, struggling to move more in the y direction. That's the simplest way to describe it. ALSO, the heat bed is CONSTANTLY on and I cannot turn it off in Mattercontrol. Does anyone have a pic of a completed RAMBO for their V3?

Basically, I need help calibrating and turning off the bed. ANY help will be infinitely appreciated!!!!!

I would check your endstop switches, and connections. It sounds like it thinks it is up against the switches and is trying to move the carriages away from them.

It sounds like you need to recheck ALL of the wiring. Here's a photo of my assembled RAMBo.
Also check that your endstops are being triggered by the screws on the carriages.

Screws on the carriages? I didn't see anywhere in the instructions about those. What sive screws are they? Looking at the picture, I can see I have a wire out of place. Thank-you!

There is 1 flat head screw sticking straight up off the top of each carriage. It will go through a little slot in the top plate to trigger the end stop.

With the printer off, slowly raise all 3 cairrages and then one at a time lift it all the way to the top. You should here a click on each tower.

Final assembly step 1 has a red note on them!

Missed the red note I guess

I put the screws in, but realized that they wont do much since the metal tabs were taken off all of the end stop "sensors". The instructions said to remove the tabs as they would be permanently closed once installed. IDEAS?

Heat bed still stays on and it still wants to slam into the bed after all these suggestions.....

You do have to remove the tabs. That exposes the little plastic actuator on the switch. It must click when the screw head moves up. If not, either your screw is not straight or you have the switch mounted backwards. Did you test as I described? Did you here a click on each tower?

You MUST verify the end stops are working properly.

I'm going to try again after my son goes to sleep.

I just tried to lift the carriages up slowly to the point where the end stops should click. No click. I might have installed the switches backwards. Time to take a few things apart. I'll let you know how it goes.....

Ok, you now have a concrete problem to resolve.

Poke a small screwdriver or something up and see if you can get the switch to click b

When you replaced the switches, did you remove the metal lever as instructed in the assembly guide? Now that this is working, can you run the auto calibrate script?
