Dead LCD?

Hi everyone,
I turned on my Rostock Max to print a part tonight, and the LCD didn't work right. The blue screen was showing several things;
-Flicking between on and off.
-Showing weird characters and a bunch of random text on the screen during the times it was on. It looks something like this if I remember right:
??????????///////???///////???/??????E///????=-...////?????
//////??????:::::::?/////??/???///E...????????//////........???
-Not beeping. I usually have beep turned off but I turned it back on by uploading the firmware to it. It still didn't beep.
-The screen would turn off when I rotated the knob a click, then turn back on when I rotated the knob another click. Direction of rotation didn't matter; it was like a toggle. The screen was just blank and blue with no characters on it. None of the normal text showed up.
I needed to print a part, so I connected my laptop to the rambo with the USB and it printed the 4 hour part with no problems at all.
I don't want to touch the LCD or put the SD card in because I'm afraid it will screw it up even more. I did, however, unplug the cables and put them back in the right order to make sure it wasn't a connection problem. I didn't change anything with the LCD before the problem started.
I'll try to get pictures in the next few days if I can.
Does anyone know what's wrong with it? I don't want to have to print from my laptop for hours every time I need a part!
