My prints were coming out super clean, but with my last few prints I've been having a problem with these little "ticks." It's like the printer skips a step, it's difficult to explain, but that's what pictures are for:

There's some weirdness going on along the top as well as the obvious line down the center;

I tried to snap a video of the little stutter that happens, but I don't think it's very obvious from the video I managed to take.

Anyone have any ideas? I tried recalibrating the bed, I also remeasured the filament and entered the value before slicing.

Looks like the start/end of the perimeter to me, you will never get perfect start/finish points, different slic3rs perform differently.

So those lines are normal? My previous, larger prints came out without absolutely any defects. I was thinking it was the filament, since I was using a different color previously, but it's from the same MFR and same order, so figure it should perform the same, though like I said, I did remeasure with calipers.

There might be a slight additional void there, it can be exacerbated by retraction settings, easy test is to print the part without retraction.
Some colors show the overlap/gap more than others, KissSlicer produces perimeters that look great in opaque colors, but tend to be obvious in transparent ones.

On larger prints these start/stop point might be so randomly located that they blend in. If they're lined up like that on a cylinder or another repeating layer pattern structure, it's a lot more noticeable.

Gotcha, thanks. As long as it's nothing to do with hardware, such as the belt slipping, or tension. I'll play around with the retraction setting, and test different slicers to see if there's a difference.
