Figured I would try the T-Rex skull that's on Thingiverse right now. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:308335

So far I've completed the lower jaw. Just over 19hrs. 0.06mm layer height. I've still gotta clean up all the strings on the teeth, but the jaw itself turned out super nice. Since it's extruding very slowly with the .06 layer height, I'm going to lower the temp down a ways for the main part of the head. The lower jaw was at 190 degrees, but I can get it down to high 170s without skipping at all. We'll see how it goes. Top of the skull won't be done for 42hrs.

Did you say you are printing at 60 micron layers? 0.06mm?
Jeez, I haven't yet tried going lower than 100 microns

The pictures don't do it justice. It's SO damn smooth. There's no vertical 'wobble' lines at all and really looks like something solid and not layered.

Yes, I did .06mm. I wanted to do .05mm, but it was going to take that much longer and just wanted to try something below .1mm to see what it could do. I'm crazy impressed with the quality this machine produces.

So which machine did you run this on? Rostock V2? Also amazed that it stayed on the bed with that little bit of the lower layers. Last questions: Which slicer did you use?

It's run on the Rostock V1.

With my build plate material and the disappearing glue, things stay stuck REALLY well.

I used Cura 14.02RC1 for slicing.

I had to give it a good whack to get it off the bed! I was surprised!

I've cleaned up the teeth for the most part, but I still have to remove some of the stringing from the inside of the skull. So cool though. I printed with 80% infill... I don't know why I did that, but I don't regret it one bit. The whole thing took almost 1/2 a spool of filament, but it's so crisp and HEAVY! It has such a nice weight to it. No regrets!

80% was totally unnecessary. I just like the rock solid feel of it.

I'm making a second smaller one right now for my neighbors kid with 20% infill and it's just fine.

how much time did did it take to print the parts? Is it on Thingiverse?

It took roughly 19 hours for the jaw and 42 hours for the skull. I had really thin layers and a stupid amount of infill which is why it took so long. I saw on thingiverse that some guys were making it hollow and it was coming out fine.

I was being a smart ass as usual. In all seriousness I understand how long it takes to create these massive printouts and all I can say is Good Job!
I know that does not do it proper justice but they are so awesome, words can't describe it, you have to have gone through one of those massive prints
