Hi everyone,

I am having a problem with a 2 inch tall 4 inch diameter print coming off the bed. it is basically a hollow ring made to hole magnets like the stator for a motor. anyway the part pops of the bed shifts and then sticks back down. its not consistent in a certain spot in the print but seems just to happen randomly. this mornings print it had shifted 2 times and it was loose on the bed.

so I bit the bullet and got a sheet of PEI and a 12 by 12 sheet of adhesive off amazon. will follow the windex method (I use soap an water at work or vynil application on windows)

had one question mat side up or gloss side? does one stick better?

I didn't pay attention much when I got mine but I believe both sides were smooth. It didn't stick as well as expected until I roughed it up with 1500 grit sandpaper. yes, 1-5-0-0, not 150. Super fine stuff. Give it a light sanding, use alcohol to clean it off and print. Do not touch the surface at all with your fingers.

Also, try covering your Rostock, build a heated chamber, put it inside a closet or just cover it with a plastic bag.
In my opinion, air from the environment and different temperatures within the onyx are popping up your print.
