Ive been trying to get my rostock to work for about a month not and the lcd has been working fine but now all of a sudden the lcd is just black and it doesnt even come on. Pleas help quickly Im going to pull my hair out soon

Check the ribbon cables. Since they don't snap in, they can wiggle loose. It's also possible that they're installed crisscrossed, upside down, or moved over by a pin.

Did you do a clean job of soldering the adapter?

its a rostock v2 so it has an adapter

With it totally blank like that, it's got getting any power.

Where does it get power from and how do I check it.
Ive swapped around the cables and nothing

This is likely a simple power problem.

Does the RAMBo cooling fan run? If yes, then the power supply is outputting 12v to the RAMBo. If not, use a voltmeter to measure at the input terminals on the RAMBo. If 12v present at input terminals, you may have one or more blown fuses on the RAMBo board.

So what does that mean

Might be worth posting a picture showing the cables/connections at rear of LCD module and at adapter. If the RAMBo fan runs, then we know that the power supply is alive and the fuse which protects the fan and electronics is intact.

Can you connect to the printer from a computer?

With the previous questions are trying to determine is, is your whole Rambo board non functional or is it just the LCD display.

And was that problem solved before the LCD issue began? If it was solved, what was done to fix it? Trying to determine what parts have been disturbed recently...

No I was working on it and then the lcd went

At the time I was taking off the cooling fan for my v6 hot end

When I swap around the small fuses the screen turns on but nothing is on it

I think you have blown one of the micro fuses on the rambo board.

Try swapping the micro fuses. This should light up the lcd but make other parts of the printer non functional and you will confirm that it is indeed a fuse that is busted.

If the fuse is blown you will have to order new ones, or if you search this forum, there are nice pictures of how to solder a blade type fuse (used in cars) on top of the blown fuse.

Okay. RAMBo fuse description says fans and electronics are protected by same fuse. That is true of the MOSFET controlled fans, but a check of the schematic shows that the RAMBo cooling fan is protected by the other nanofuse (aka the motor fuse, F2).

So sounds like you probably popped a fuse while working on the hot end. Its fuse (F3) also powers the brain and LCD.
