An enclosure for my Rostack Max V2

I had a few goals:
1) Keep the dust off my printer (my workshop is dusty).
2) Elevate the ambient temperature for the prints (to help with ABS).
3) Keep the ABS fumes away from me.
4) Keep the noise down.

Here's the result:

And from the side:

It's made from biscuit joined pine and some insulation board picked up at Home Depot.
Dimensions are about 4'x2'x2'. Blue tinted 1/8" acrylic makes the front window. 3m of white LED strip lighting give it a disco glow.
With an outside temperature of 15C the internal ambient runs at about 29C - just with the waste heat of the printer.

Mission accomplished! .... for now.

Hey, that is unique and quite handsome. Good job.

Nice looking enclosure but you want to keep your electronics cool!

Yes - One good thing about the delta design is that it does give you the possibility of having the build chamber entirely isolated from the electronics and steppers - something that's not so easy on a cartesian printer. I know some people have done that for the rostock printers, ie- built an enclosure around the columns, but that was more fiddly than I wanted to deal with at this time. At 29C I'm not worried about it, but 40C I think would be the comfortable limit for the electronics. I can always crack open the door- and will probably do that for PLA.

Still - I think every bit helps. In the open air the bed struggled to maintain 80C, but in the chamber it hits it pretty easily and the PID algorithm kicks in to maintain the set temperature.

add an in duct and an out duct to the base with a computer basket fan and use a filter to keep the dust down and you can keep the inside of the base cooler than the rest of the inside of the enclosure'

I really like the look of your unit made of wood

That's what I'm doing for my enclosure right now. I eventually want to build a false bottom that is flush with the top of the base.
