Hello all, I'm Feron, and I'm a newb :/

So I've gotten my Rostock V2 built and am on to the calibration.
So far everything has checked out electronics and movement wise.
My only deviation in the build has been installing the 300mm cf arms from tricklaser instead of the stock arms.

Well, using the provided tower calibration script I'm seeing I can get the x and y about right, very little margin of change in the paths, however the z is practically flying away.. about a quarter inch above the glass plate with the end stop screw as far out as it can possibly be.

I've checked arm length, screws/riser everywhere, squareness, lengths from plate to end stop matching up on all axis...

Any helpful pointers, tips, tricks or otherwise useful information about a problem of this sort?

What exactly does that mean? Is it rising from the plate as you get closer to the towers? Is it not reaching the plate at all? Or is the scaling off? Is it only doing this in a few spots, or consistently rotationally?

Rising from plate as you approach towers (Rotationally symmetric deviation): Adjust horizontal radius. http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=5906 contains a helpful spreadsheet, and an easy method to use the endstop offsets, which means you can bring those screws in to a stable point (or in entirely, to increase your Z height a little)

Not reaching plate at all: Adjust/rezero Z height parameter.

Scaling off: Return steps/MM to 80, and then adjust diagonal arm length to get X/Y scaling corrected.

Rising from plate, inconsistently: One or more belts/towers/carriages/motors is not functioning correctly and needs checked. Start with cheapskate and belt tension, then check rod end connectors, pulley connection, belt path, and then stepper function.

Do only what applies of what's above.

The hot end stays correctly level when running a test pattern to the x and y towers, when the hot end goes to the z tower it rises continuously until it reaches the end of travel, the end of travel having the tip about 1/4" from the glass plate.

You need to wind all the endstop screws back in and they go back to the getting the Z heights equal at the 3 towers part of calibration.
I'm not familiar with the current suggested procedure in the manual, but wind the screws all the way in and start with calibration again.
You should also make sure you don't have any endstop offsets set in the EEPROM.
