Re: E3D V6 repetier 0.91

Yeah. It's strange, 3d printing is now growing fast and there is still nothing that have been done for the connectors, each one use what he found.

It could be a good thing if a company will create standard connectors for 3d printers !!

Re: E3D V6 repetier 0.91

Ok i've spend all the night but I found what was wrong, it was a little bit vicious.... The original heater male connector had a pin 1 mm shorter than the other, but the female connector connected well, the new connectors that I put on the new heater was "normal" so it did not connect to t...

Re: E3D V6 repetier 0.91

yes this line is made for the 104-GT2 thermoistor (at least the model that is included with the original rostock max head)

#define EXT0_TEMPSENSOR_TYPE 8

and the default line in the repetier firmware is:

#define EXT0_TEMPSENSOR_TYPE 97

E3D V6 repetier 0.91

Well i've just finished the assembly of the e3d v6 , i used arduino to change the repetier line to : #define EXT0_TEMPSENSOR_TYPE 8 instead of #define EXT0_TEMPSENSOR_TYPE 97 I'm turning on the printer and on the LCD screen I can read NOZ : 1000.0 then it becomes NOZ: def I've just try with the orig...

Re: Slicer 4.1.3

I don't want to brake your dreams but there are a lot of problems with the new slicer(1.1.0 RC1). With mac Users they must change the security to make the software works. For all the versions, the supports are not correctly working, with some configurations the software keep calculate without ending...

Re: Simplify3d and rostock max

Yes it have good features(on the paper ;)...) but the software seems to be in beta testing process, the software's forum doesn't answer to problems you can find inside and there are not enough people to help. The creators seems to take time to answer to email(I sended them one, 4 days ago and still ...

Simplify3d and rostock max

I bought this software on the web because it offers some interresting psosibilities (place supports manually for example). My opinion: DON'T BUY IT !!!! This software seems to be only an Alpha or Beta versions. It took me a long time to have god parameters and it was far from perfect ... The support...

Re: Mcbride's build

Thanks ! For the settings I have some experiences with the Solidoodle 2 , I think it's not very hard to find best settings if you take time to understand how it works ans also to take a look on what have been done by other users. I must admit that I'm really proud of my hollow cube, the bridges are ...

Re: Ezstruder mount

I was just thinking about that: using the bowden system can make some problems with the hot end because the extruder must push the filament with enough power for the hot end and it's difficult because of the diameter of the ptfe tube compare to the diameter of the filament, but if you use a higher t...

Re: Ezstruder mount

And of course a direct extrusion will be better ! 8-) A lot of people on the web seems to have no problems to print very good quality with the bowden system :!: Edit: The problem is that all filaments have a diameter's variation. Due to this it's impossible to have a bowden that have quite the same ...

Re: Ezstruder mount

I've watched a lot of vidéos about the 3d Max and this one too.
It works of course as we can see it, but it's seems that the head is really heavy so it can be a problems for the 3 arms that support the head and also for the motors. :!:

Re: Ezstruder mount

Well i'm using jhead mk5 hot ends on a solidoodle 2, it's a direct extruding but of course it isn't a delta printer so the weight is not a problem and we can add a lot of weight without having problems with the motors. The delta system is way different and, as far I can see, it certainly won't suppo...

Re: Ezstruder mount

It seems that prints are better with a direct extruder, I don't really mind to have multiple heads but of course speed is important. if the bowden system gives good prints i think I won't change it but if it isn"t I will plan to change for a direct extruder. For now I just have to wait after th...

Ezstruder mount

As I saw on wiki it's possible to mount the hot end on the ezstruder, so is it possible to mount the ezstruder directly on the platform(There is nothing about that in the manual).
If it's possible why it isn't shown in the manual and how to do it ?
