Re: Howdy from Texas

Hi there! I do not feel alone now, I am in Houston :-) Not THAT avid RC user, but I have some models and, as soon as I gain more experience, planning to get my hands on a FPV system (not quads though, I like more planes, I need something that is difficult to control ... just like the rostock max heh...

Art's *new* RostockMax V2 (Aka Night Fury!)

I got my *NEW* V2 kit this past weekend (great!). I ordered it black, as I like the combination of black-red-yellow, so, I started by painting the pieces accordingly. As you can see on the pictures, this paint work was done at night ;-) 2014-06-27 23.11.06.jpg 2014-06-27 23.15.28-1.jpg 2014-06-28 00...

Re: E3D Release New Version 6 of HotEnd.

Well, as I mentioned in a previous post, I had being troubled switching filaments using E3D V6, as, for some reason, the filament bulges more than with V5. Then it is very difficult (if not impossible) to make it goes trough the little hole in the EZ-Extruder. You can see that I got something simila...

Re: Akemake Spirula Speakers

Any chance of just shrinking the shell shape say 2% but adding a new part to the face which houses the speaker at the correct size? Would of course take away from the cool design but would allow it to be printed on the Rostock more easily. And take away the bragging rights? :-) Sure, you can modify...

Re: Akemake Spirula Speakers

It took a few attempts to get the print started, and I've had to shim my build plate in a few places with paper to try and get things somewhat even, but it's finally looking like it might be up to the task of doing the print. 20140623_213126.jpg Black PLA, 0.1 layer height. Re: E3D Release New Version 6 of HotEnd.

Anyone have tips for printing PLA on the v6? What are your retraction settings? Is the PTFE tube seated allllllll the way down, as far as it will go? Have you done the "ideal heat test?" Set the temp to 180, wait for it to stabilize, then set the temp to 240 and feed the PLA through as th...

Re: E3D Release New Version 6 of HotEnd.

Anyone have tips for printing PLA on the v6? I'm getting jamming/clogging issues at 200c and fan at 100%. A little plug forms after a little while. It doesn't drip/leak like the stock hot end, but I'd rather have that instead of jamming. Last night, I was a...

That is a cool idea. If it ends up sounding nice, I'd definitely give it a go - I've got some wood-like filament coming from the PolyMaker Kickstarter in the not too distant future. Please let us know how wood-like filament works for you. Well, the one I am using IS wood-like filament. It just happ...

EDIT: I made a comment a few minutes ago that I could not get this to print as it was just too big. Gotta take that back; I'm still learning.
